![]() I am often asked how I can "see" what is wrong in the body. Or, how I "know" what circumstances are causing the body stress. My answer is that really, I don't entirely know. I am also asked if it is something I have always been able to do. I wasn't aware that I could, and my belief is that it wasn't what I needed to be doing at any other point in my life/growth. My life was preparing me for this moment of great growth and change, and I am certain it's not over yet. Relatively speaking, I have only recently awakened. The fact is, we always grow and change. Just the way our bodies can change, our interests can change, our belief systems can change--so too can our awareness of our very selves, at our core. Basically I feel as though I simply "woke up". There are many psychics and intuitives out there who suffered a near-death, or actual “death” experience and woke up with their gifts. Some seem born with their talents. While I certainly had some times of darkness in my life, I am happy to tell you I did not have to “die” in order to wake up--and neither do you! In more dramatic terms, if you suddenly realized you had a medicinal cure for cancer growing in your back yard, would you keep that to yourself? Of course not. You would want to holler from the rooftops that you have a very important thing to share with the world and you would be doing your darndest to make certain as many people knew about it as possible. In fact, I am willing to bet you would feel it is your duty to humanity! Our "cancer" is that we are asleep. We are smitten with the material side of life. We are lured by logic, quelled by science, and entertained by the media and mass marketing circus. We get caught up in living a life we have somehow come to believe we are “supposed” to live. We picked up the beliefs from our parents, peers, schools, colleagues, churches—any number of places. The consequence is that we do not spend enough time with OURSELVES, realizing our own power and our infinite connection to Source. We need to be imagining, creating, questioning, meditating and discovering. We need to connect with nature. Each of us needs to find "me" again. Once we do that it becomes difficult for others or situations and circumstances to hold power over us. It also awakens the individual to the realization of a connection with ALL things. You live life very differently when you feel that connection at your core. Just as the scientific community continues to churn out new and often amazing findings, the medical/health industry has been growing by leaps and bounds, making new connections as to things that impact our health and announcing new "findings" at an amazing rate. It is almost frightening to me now to realize how often, not so many years ago, glands and other body organs were removed as soon as they were found to be swollen or inflamed. We were told that organs like our tonsils or our appendix were not important to our health. Twelve years ago, Dr. Gladys McGarey, MD, who is often referred to as the "mother of holistic medicine" stated, "we are just beginning to learn what the mind and emotions can do in relationship to our physical body and have not even begun to touch how the spirit and soul relate to the body in which we live." Our bodies are made the way they are with intention and purpose. I feel there is a sacred contract of sorts at work and I wish to help only those who seek my assistance. There is a delicate process involved and I am always in a space of humility and respect. The information comes to me in many different ways and forms. Sometimes I can feel in my own body the location of discomfort, pain, or disease in others. I sense where energy is heavy or blocked. I see words, medical terms, and other things--whether people, places, or events-- to help me understand and integrate the information. Whatever beliefs I may have had in the past are now irrelevant because through these experiences I have literally been awakened to the realization that our minds, bodies, and spirits are intricately and extensively intertwined. I have even listened to others talking about emotional life events and then been able to "work in reverse", accurately identifying some of their past health issues. I am honored to have been opened, and I feel an obligation to teach, heal and help awaken our world. Enjoy your beautiful life’s journey!~Heather © Copyright Heather M Hunter 2011 |
