Our Facilities

Casa Mariposa International is located near the heart of the quaint town of Carefree, Arizona. Tucked away from steady traffic noise and in close proximity to Black Mountain, Casa Mariposa’s ideal location provides a serene setting for establishing reconnection with your authentic self and spiritual path. With ample parking available, it is also a convenient location for hosting a popular event or class.

Before or after a program or service at Casa Mariposa, you have the opportunity to enjoy many unique shops, galleries and restaurants within walking distance of the center. Just steps away is the unique Carefree Sundial (Carefree.org) and adjacent to that is a children’s play area and a park-like area for quiet contemplation.

Two of the more popular dining establishments in the area are Carefree Station (CarefreeStation.com) and the English Rose Tea Room
(CarefreeTea.com). Others include Venues restaurant, the Sundial Café (a favorite outdoor lunch location with views of Black Mountain), and Black Mountain Coffee Shop.

Fall, winter, and spring are particularly exciting times in the area, as Carefree hosts many farmers' markets, wine and art festivals, and other free or very affordable programs and exhibits. Watch for special events at Casa Mariposa being offered concurrently with town events and plan an extraordinary day in Carefree Arizona.

Go North on Tom Darlington (Scottsdale Rd becomes Tom Darlington or left from Carefree Highway).
Turn Right on Cave Creek Road
The first right after E. Sunshine Place is the parking lot for Casa Mariposa International

Beware of MapQuest and Google Maps as they place the address in the wrong spot (west of the Sundial.. Casa is east of the Sundial)

Room Descriptions for Programs

Handicap Accessibility: Casa Mariposa is 100% wheelchair accessible, including one of our restrooms. Please inform us prior to your program if you anticipate addressing the needs of disabled participants. Likewise, feel free to phone or email us if you are a disabled individual inquiring about accessibility.

THE GATHERING ROOM:

This is the main classroom/presentation area of Casa Mariposa. Many set-up variations are available. Depending on set-up, this room can seat up to 35, or combine with the adjoining room for overflow seating to over 40. This room features a small lighted stage/presenter’s area and is wired for sound for your program.

THE SUMMIT ROOM:

This smaller room can seat approximately 20 people in circular fashion and is also the preferred room for yoga, Qi Gong, and meditations, with stunning and serene views of the summit of Black Mountain.

TREATMENT ROOMS:

Casa Mariposa features two smaller rooms ideal for massage, reiki, and other services with multiple lighting options.

OFFICE:

By special request, the office can be made available for private sessions. The office features large recliners, ideal for hypnotherapy and past-life regression.

RESTROOMS:

Casa Mariposa features two restrooms, one of which is handicap accessible.
