As the Director of Casa Mariposa, I take great pride in being highly selective regarding the individuals who offer their services, programs, and events through this center.

There are many highly gifted and caring professionals that I look forward to bringing to Casa Mariposa. Of course, many of the services and programs here are “cutting-edge”, non-traditional, and intuitive.

Therefore, I have found in my experience and research that the standards, requirements, and expectations of most certification and licensing boards are inadequate and far behind the times in assessing the quality and caliber of some of the most gifted and knowledgeable providers available in alternative and holistic health services. Accordingly, little significance is placed on such titles here at Casa Mariposa.

If certification or licensing is important to you for a particular service you are seeking, it will be up to you to verify the provider’s status, and is not the responsibility of myself or anyone else associated with Casa Mariposa.

Services at Casa Mariposa are intended to enhance, not replace, the services and advice of your licensed physician, psychologist, and the like.

It is possible that in many cases you may be receiving a wonderful and transformational approach, service, or experience for which, currently, there are no specific licensing standards available.

I will add with confidence that what you experience through Casa Mariposa has the potential to bring you a more desirable result than past experiences with some licensed professionals.

It is my goal to take an active role in removing stigmas and myths to promote more open communication, integrative work, and information sharing between traditional western medicine and other alternative philosophies and approaches..
